Nesma bounced back with a 75-65 victory against Wasalak while Jollibee finally broke into the win column by beating GCT 61-58 as actions continued in the OFBL (Overseas Filipino Basketball League) 2012 tournament at Time-out Sports Academy Gymnasium on Television Street, Ghulail District on the outskirts of Jeddah.
Best Player Soriano had 25 points and his monstrous rebounding skills likewise made the difference for Nesma. Jimmy Pattad added 15 points and Mercado added 10 to support Soriano.
Wasalak had Huerto and Imuan scoring a combined 43 points.
Moymoy Bantillan was named Best Player of the game with 23 points in charge of Jollibee, which drew 11 and 10 points from Castillo and Campanero.
GCT only had Abad and Mahilum, with combined 32 points, to match up the enemy’s intensity.
Mize brought down Jica 89-85.
Best Player of the Game Cruz scored 21 points for Mize with Soriano and Lagnayo combining for 31 points. For Jica, Melebo and Malahito combined for 29 points.
Meanwhile, powerhouse Butler rolled to its fourth consecutive victory beating Zamil 80-76 in a battle of the unbeatens.
Guanzon was named Best Player of the game with 23 points.
Delta Water bounced back against G4S with Ballinan as Best Player of the game with 18 points.
Compass Ocean Logistics recovered from its previous defeat by defeating Takbo 92-72, while Tropapips beat Ulker 78-70.
